Responsibilities
To provide legal and technical advice and assistance to help the Group fulfil its business aims by providing corporate and commercial services.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide technical legal advice, at different levels in the organisation, on a range of contractual matters (including external fund links, distribution contracts, procurement, IT and related matters).
· Provide advice on a variety of corporate transactions
· Provide technical legal advice on matters arising from Data Protection, Intellectual Property and Trademark issues
Requirements
Essential:
· Some track record in a similar role or desire to develop in this area
· Qualified solicitor or advocate/barrister in Scotland or England
· Good grounding in contract law
· Ability to communicate at all levels
· Good negotiation skills
Desirable:
· Some knowledge of life and pensions industry in general
· Some experience of company secretarial and/or corporate governance related matters
