Company is one of the success stories of Scotland, with a forward order book, and growth, which is the envy of many other businesses.

To cope with this growth it requires an additional Metallurgist.  Your prime responsibility will be to plan, schedule, undertake and document the required customer metallurgical testing for their products.  This will require extensive internal liaison, as well as regular contact with customers and suppliers.  As it is a customer driven production environment, the ability to anticipate, prioritise, and plan towards, as well as achieve, demanding deadlines would be essential.

You will also be responsible for developing and mentoring junior departmental Metallurgists, and as a head of department, be part of the regular site management team.

You will have a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, and have extensive test (visual, mechanical, chemical) experience within a metallurgical environment, preferably within a manufacturing driven process.  As the company grows, it is anticipated that this role will grow in scope and scale, with the appropriate remuneration.
