We currently have a requirement for a temporary Manufacturing Technician with our client based in Grangemouth.
As part of the manufacturing team you will be expected to work in a safe and efficient manner, operate the plant and control processes to meet production requirements, HSEQ and cost standards.
The key accountabilities of this role include;
To work safely to meet and improve site targets for HSE
To operate computer and manually controlled plant for all stages of manufacture processes
Completion of batch records in an accurate and timely manner
Control and issue of safety clearance for maintenance work
Scheduling and co-ordinating the operation of the plant to meet production targets
Carry out formal and informal monitoring of plant processes and equipment
Carry out engineering maintenance works to reduce plant downtime and increase efficiency of operation
Creation of accurate and thorough logs and give/receive handovers on the process
Actively contribute to all aspects of continuous improvement
To be an effective and flexible member of the plant work group contributing towards the achievement of departmental strategy
The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and have excellent IT skills.
You should also have proven organisation, team working and problem solving abilities.
Candidates with experience running a variety of computer-controlled chemical manufacturing assets and a recognised chemical qualification will have a distinct advantage.
